Diadem is an automated system for analysing MR brain scans, providing the clinician with a report that aids their diagnosis of dementia.
DIADEM uses a patented machine learning algorithm that identifies 150 separate regions of the brain. It then compares each region to its expected size, based on the patient's age, intercranial volume and other factors. The regions are combined into functional lobes to provide a clinically meaningful summary. Within each lobe the most clinically significant regions are individually reported.
